Max didn’t like going to bed. There were too many scary things about bedtime. But his mom was calling and she had his favorite pajamas. Max pulled his pajama bottoms up and his pajama top down. They were very soft. And, there were dinosaurs on them. Dinosaurs were his favorite. His mom kissed both his cheeks, said goodnight, turned out the light, and shut the door.
Max was in his room, in his bed, alone, in the dark, and the door was closed. He didn’t like the door to be closed. So, Max climbed out of bed and ran into his mom’s room. He jumped into her bed and covered his head.
“Max, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you in your bed, all warm and cozy?” his mom asked. “The door is closed. I don’t like the door to be closed,” Max answered. “Would you like me to keep the door opened, Max?” asked his mom. Max agreed.

Dream
As I drift between reality and not
I slowly slip away My eyelids start to flicker The finish of another day I travel to another time and place Myself I am not Becoming a shadow in the midst The outside world, I forgot I witness many things Some of beauty, I cannot speak The pictures flash before my eyes The true meaning I will seek From one false world to another A new character for each scene I take on a new identity In each and every dream by Sheryl Gibson There must have been a shortage of angels in heaven that day
There must have been a shortage of angels in heaven that day for god to come and take ours away.. The smallest, the sweetest, the very light of our lives gone now and we must continue to breathe somehow.. To heaven for a mission so divine that they had to leave only their love behind.. Their faces, their smiles, their noise gone away There must have been a shortage of angels in heaven that day... by Sheryl Gibson |
